Hello and WELCOME; I'm so glad you're here! My name is Murphy Brennan and I am a senior at UNC Chapel Hill where I double major in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology, with a minor in Spanish for the Medical Professions. I'm an aspiring registered dietician, so I plan on hopefully going to grad school to get my MPH in Nutrition and Registered Dietetics certification.
I started Mindfully Murphy (previously Cut The C.R.A.P) when I gave up processed foods for Lent 3 years ago, but it's really turned into something totally new and different. It has become a place of transformation and reflection of my recovery process from eating disorders-- breaking the cycle that has dictated my life for the past 8 years. I want to be honest and open with everyone so we can start conversation about rocky relationships with food! As for themes you'll see in my captions and other posts, I'm a huge proponent for breaking down toxic diet culture, balance, and intuitive eating (listening to my body!).
These little bites are SO GOOD! They're loaded with macros and whole ingredients but taste like desserts! You can taste the real lemon in the lemon poppyseed balls and get notes of warm spice in the carrot cake flavor. We've been eating them out of the freezer which makes them even more dessert-y!
